GO was established in 1985 by Peter and Veronica Cooney, who still own and run the company today.
Peter has over 40 years experience in the freight business and has always had strong links with the Manchester area, as his father and brothers worked on the Salford/Manchester docks.
GO still remains a family business and some members of staff have been with the company from incorporation. The business was named after Peters mother Grace.
GO became one of the first freight forwarding companies to receive the prestigious BS5750 accreditation, in April 1992 and are ISO9000 accredited, Investors in People.
Our multi freight system and experienced operations team ensure your promises are met, with links all around the world.
GO is and has been totally committed to the protection of the working and living environment as well as the conservation of resources. We recognise however, by the very nature of the services we offer that, from time to time we operate in very environmentally hostile situations. We do all that is reasonable and practical to minimise any further impact we have on the environment through our operations.
At GO we are heavily involved in charity work in the Manchester area, supporting Children’s Genetic and Metabolic Diseases, Blind Society, and Care in the Local Community.
