We have just received information about another planned strike in France next week.
Please see below the correspondence we have received from the Road Haulage Association. Clearly we don’t know as yet what effect this will have but there is likely to be some disruption to our services so please bear with us. As always we will endeavour to collect and deliver all consignments as quickly as possible but shipments could be delayed, but as ever we will keep you full updated.
All nine public service unions have called on their members to go on a national strike on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 .
The strike is as a result of criticism to various measures the government wants to impose including: freezing of salaries and cuts of jobs.
Given that this movement brings together all the trade unions, disruption and demonstrations are likely to be numerous. How the ports will be affected is not clear yet.
Disruptions are to be expected from 9 October and until 11 October
Even the police have been invited to participate in the strike!
